Email button doing nothing? One-time browser fix
The “Open prefilled email” buttons hand off to whatever app your browser has set as the default mail app. If nothing happens when you click, that default isn’t set yet — a one-time fix, not something to redo each time.
Windows
- Open Settings → Apps → Default apps.
- Search for Mail (or search for your mail app, e.g. Outlook).
- Set it as the default for the MAILTO link type.
Mac
- Open the Mail app (or Outlook, if that’s what you use).
- Go to its Settings/Preferences → General.
- Set Default email reader to your preferred app.
Chrome / Edge
- The first time this works correctly, the browser may show a small icon or prompt in the address bar asking to allow your mail app to open links — click Allow.
